Phillips Edison's in-house construction services include existing center "as-built" plan management, preliminary and final cost estimating, capital improvement budgeting and implementation, project management, construction management, on- and off-site construction supervision and other construction-related functions.

The primary objective of the construction group is to assist and direct other departments and teams within the company in understanding and managing all facets of construction as it relates to the company's core business of buying, operating, leasing and developing retail properties.

Phillips Edison's construction group works directly with current and future tenants and their design and construction personnel to assist in, or fully manage, a tenant build-out depending on the tenant's wishes and rent structure. The ability to have a construction professional work closely with potential tenants helps control costs more effectively while typically shortening the build-out period for the tenant.
